Todd: I walked grumpily across the business campus, because I'd been told I have to meet with some design expert to help out with my newest project.  My ego was having none of it... until Kristian walked into the room. I was mesmerized, trying not to stare, and then impressed by what she brought to the table for the project. I had a hard time staying focused during meetings, going so far as having more virtual meetings to keep from being too distracted. The project finished, successfully. We kept in touch over the next several months keeping tabs on how the project is working out and really any reason I could come up with to keep talking to Kristian. I learn that Kristian is going to be changing jobs and leaving our offices.  I was a bit crestfallen to be honest.

 One day Kristian and I are discussing files and folders from the project that I may want to have in my archives and maybe I should consider putting in for the position she's leaving.  It started feeling like the last moments I would get to chat with her. I made a last ditch comment "thanks for thinking of me" and the message I got right back was "more than you know." I have been riding that same high ever since.
